I have loved your essay. I totally share the view that we are co-creators of our life, together with the Universe. Your reminder that we don’t need a title but a project is so beautiful and important. I’ve often been trapped by this wrong belief (and still am in some situations) . The project that I have at heart, that I am starting gently, slowly, with all the love, joy and determination, is my Substack. I want to share my truth, what I’ve learned, embodied, experienced and create a caring, compassionate community where women get together, share their gifts, learn to have a balanced lifestyle and learn to fully reclaim their power as well as honour, embrace, love who they truly are.

Same! For years i’ve been eyeing Substack as a way to share my work as a coach and creative, and i’m finally taking the leap with seeing the benefits in the community aspect of this app that I couldn’t otherwise get with email platforms like Flodesk. Also just love the type of people who show up here and also share in their love for writing. People who fill this community with such passion and purpose for their own writing and that of others. Excited for you and look forward to reading your work!

Lovely piece of writing. I’ve been reflecting on this for the past few years now, especially with the start of my Sabbatical back in 2022. So often we tie our self-worth to our careers and vocations, money, relationships. I realized that to reclaim my worthiness in regards to work, it was important to weave small hobbies and projects into the fabric of being (with purpose), with no ties to some financial reward, outcome or even expectations. Only then can we truly find joy in the work we do.

Just coming back to say—I truly took your words to heart. They stayed with me, gently stirring something awake. And now, I’ve begun a project I’m lovingly pouring myself into. This piece was such a beautiful read, and exactly the quiet nudge I needed. Thanks, Camille!

Yes! You said what my heart has been feeling!

I found my way back to writing and my dream of a book revived. Not what I thought it would be but God’s unique way of doing things is much more enjoyable than the basic plans I lay out.

A project, a purpose. I feel fulfilled when my plate is full, but always try to embrace the down time.

This is encouraging to me as I stare at a wide gap in my resume after leaving my career to be the primary caregiver and homeschool my children. Now it’s time to get back to work and I’m painfully aware of the lack of titles. Starting with a project is so wise - the best things grow from our passions, for sure. Thank you!

Loved your post. At the moment I'm working on growing/nurtering our non-profit projects. It has been such a healing journey, simply doing things that I love. It brings balance/ peace
